Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News in July 2004, and has been a reporter on a range of subjects, including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings close to Bailey, Colorado. Nair was commissioned to ABC News in December 2007 as a reporter/anchor on ABC News Now. In that role she was responsible for anchoring live coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's digital channel. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital network starting on September 17th, 2008 until February 18th, 2011. On both of these programs, Nair was initially paired alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th February. Nair also announced that Friday would be one final day of work for ABC News. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her immediate successor. Each of the three segments of the World News Now's February 18 broadcast, Nair was honored by the former and present colleagues, such the late Jeremy Hubbard. In her last day she treated the entire team to breakfast.
